I don't enjoy heroine's who are vicious, violent people. I like strong women, but those who embrace the need for the feminine graces such as compassion and gentleness coupled the masculine strengths of courage and resourcefulness. Baylock's story was more poignant. I would've preferred the sub-plot of the TV producer to be cut out, it made the book too long, unless (as I suspect) the author is introducing us to the suposedly lost Brother, Murdher.
