What happens when the best friend you’ve loved all your life loses his wife when she dies giving birth to his twin daughters?
If you’re Cami, you make a plan. And if that doesn’t work out, you make another plan.
This sweet romance shows how a crisis can make a life-long friendship turn into something deeper. The problem is, Mark refuses to admit to himself he loves Cami and tries to shove her into the arms of other men … much to Cami’s frustration, as that wasn’t part of the plan!
Cami’s love for Mark has always gone deeper than mere friendship, and that love expands to include his twin daughters as she helps him care for them, until one night friendship boils over into passion. There’s no steamy bedroom action in this book, but there’s plenty of emotion as Cami has to battle Mark’s guilt feelings and her own dark secret which could keep them apart forever.
As always in Claire Robyns’ stories, there are great secondary characters, who provide as much colour to the pages as do her very likeable main characters. I hope we get to read Harry the dark, handsome and loaded neurosurgeon’s love story soon.
All in all, a sweet, light read that leaves one satisfied and feeling good.
